Greet the Dawn

Story Time is offered every Tuesday at 10:30 AM CST. The program is geared toward elementary-age children but children young and old will enjoy stories read by elders of the Lakota and Dakota communities. Today our story is Greet the Dawn: The Lakota Way written and illustrated by S.D. Nelson. A cultural activity will follow the reading.
About the story: S. D. Nelson offers young readers wonder and happiness as a better way of appreciating their culture and surroundings. His artwork fuses elements of modern with traditional. Above all, he urges each of us to seize the opportunity that dawn offers each day.
