The Aktá Lakota Museum was honored to be part of the Quiltfolk, Issue 24: South Dakota. In June Quiltfolk writers and photographers visited the museum in search of American Indian-made quilts and quilters to learn the history of the Star quilt and how it ties into Native culture as well, as how talented makers are keeping the tradition alive.
