South Dakota DOT Construction • I-90 West and I-90 East near Chamberlain.
Project Update: May 31, 2023
Current Closures: Traffic is traveling in the eastbound lanes on I-90. The westbound ramps to/from the Chamberlain Rest Area and exit 263 at Chamberlain are CLOSED. Eastbound ramps are unaffected.
Exit 263 Westbound will be closed through June 28th. Exit 263 Eastbound will be closed from June 29th – September 22nd.
May Completed Work: Storm sewer pipe work began starting at the Missouri River Bridge and proceeding uphill from the Missouri River. Repair of the Missouri River Bridge is beginning, starting with girder repairs.
Anticipated Work in June: Continuation of the storm sewer to the top of the hill about one mile east of the Missouri River. Grading work will continue to repair areas of soft grade and broken pavement.
